How to activate Viber messaging services
To start messaging using Viber, you should activate this service separately. To do this, contact your manager for detailed instructions.
The activation procedure starts with the signing of an agreement between BSG Telecom (our legal entity) and the client. You should fill out a standard registration application and sign a letter of guarantee, in which you agree not to send out spam.
After the agreement is signed, you should register the sender's alpha name. You can submit such an application directly from your user account.
Viber messaging services are provided on a prepaid basis. In order to get access to messaging feature, place a deposit for a certain amount a month in advance. The amount of replenishment of the deposit depends on your country. You can check it with your manager.
Viber Policy of the Fair Use of Personal Data
VIber has a strict policy of opposing unsolicited advertising campaigns. In other words, Viber takes great care that messages are sent only to those who want to receive them. Therefore, you must have documentary proof that your recipients have agreed to receive messages from you (for example, they filled out a questionnaire, registered on your website, or in some other way voluntarily gave you their consent to receive messages from you). In case of a complaint from a client, Viber will contact you for such a confirmation, and if you cannot provide it, the company will charge you a fine of 5,000 euros for one message.
Each time you send your messages, the recipient has the opportunity to unsubscribe from them. If the unsubscription rate exceeds 5% of the total number of emails, VIber blocks your sender’s name. In such case, the only way to resume messaging is to register the alpha name again.
