The history of import and export of contacts is available on the Downloads page in the Contacts section.
This page is very informative and helps to keep track of changes in the contact base.
Why would you want to track all imports and exports of contacts?
- For security reasons. If you do’t remember exporting a contacts file, it may be the sign of an unauthorized access to your account by a third party. In other words, it may be an alarm that someone stole your username and password and your contact database “leaked”.
To avoid this, never give your login and password information to third parties! In order to protect the data confidentiality, don’t save passwords on other people's computers and enable double authentication in your account settings.
- To keep track of the changes in the base, the frequency of the downloads and uploads. It may be useful, for example, to check the date of uploading the recent export to the site (and find it in the mail).
The section is currently under development, which means that many more useful functions will appear here very soon.
What information is presented on the page?
The page is a list of all import and export files. The total number of files is displayed in the upper left corner.
In the upper right corner, there are 2 file type choices: Import and Export. By default, both types are displayed, but you can click on the necessary button to hide one of them, or turn it on again at any time, making the type active.
Next is a table with information for each import/export.
1. File type icon
2. Import/Export ID (may be needed when communicating with the support in case of download errors).
3. Status (download completed, in progress)
4. Date of upload/download
5. File — file name.
Sorting
You can use the sorting feature in each field: "from largest to smallest" and vice versa for the ID and Date fields, or "in forward / reverse alphabetical order" for the File field.
To change the display order (sorting, in other words), click on the field name.
